1. Conditions

General conditions regarding Rankup bot:

• These terms and conditions apply to each and every user of Rankup Bot.
• By adding Rankup to your server, you agree to these terms of service and any future terms which we may add after notice.
• The bot is provided "as is" without any warranties of any kind.

2. Use of the Bot

Rankup grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use the bot for personal or non-commercial purposes. You may use the bot to:

• Manage role hierarchies and promotions in your Discord server.
• Automatically update user nicknames with rank prefixes.
• Configure custom rank aliases and sub-roles.

3. Prohibited Use

You may not use Rankup in any way that:

• Violates applicable laws, rules, or regulations.
• Infringes upon the rights of any third party.
• Violates Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
• Intentionally spams commands or attempts to crash the bot.
• Uses the bot in spam servers which cause command overload.
• Attempts to exploit bugs, vulnerabilities, or reverse engineer the bot.
• Abuses the promotion system to bypass server security.

4. Intellectual Property

Rankup and all intellectual property rights therein are and shall remain the property of the bot owner. You agree not to copy, modify, reverse engineer, or distribute the bot or any portion thereof without express written consent.

5. Limitation of Liability

The bot owner shall not be liable for any damages arising out of the use or inability to use Rankup, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or server configurations.
• Server disruptions or role management errors.
• Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

6. Modifications and Termination

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue the bot at any time without notice.
• Prohibit any server or user from using Rankup for any reason.
• Update these terms of service at any time with notice in the support server.
• Change pricing or features of premium services at any time.

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination, you must immediately cease all use of the bot.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the bot owner and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of your use of Rankup or violation of these terms.

8. User Responsibility

The client is responsible for any violation caused by them or users in their server. Server owners are responsible for ensuring their members comply with these terms when using Rankup features.

1. Information We Collect

Rankup collects the following information to provide its core functionality:

• User Data: Discord User ID, Username (for nickname management and rank tracking).
• Server Data: Guild ID, Role IDs, Channel IDs (for command execution and logs).
• Configuration Data: Rank definitions, hierarchy settings, aliases, sub-roles, and nickname prefix configurations.
• Usage Data: Command usage statistics for improving bot performance (anonymized).

2. How We Use Information

We use the collected data solely to provide Rankup's core functionality:

• Managing role promotions and demotions within your server hierarchy.
• Updating user nicknames with configured rank prefixes.
• Enforcing hierarchy rules and permission checks.
• Storing your server's rank configuration and settings.
• Providing command logs and audit trails (if enabled).
• Improving bot performance and fixing bugs.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your data to third parties. Your data is never shared except:

• When required by law or valid legal process.
• To protect the rights, property, or safety of Rankup, its users, or others.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

Data retention policies:

• Configuration data is retained as long as Rankup is in your server.
• If the bot is removed from your server, configuration data may be retained for a grace period of 30 days to allow for re-invitation.
• You may request immediate data deletion by contacting us in our support server.
• Upon data deletion request, all associated data will be permanently removed within 7 business days.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children's Privacy

Rankup is intended for use in accordance with Discord's Terms of Service, which requires users to be at least 13 years old (or older depending on jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be announced in our support server, and the "Last Updated" date will be revised accordingly.
